Even though the Hilton Head Concours and Car Club Showcase have been postponed to 2021, we still want to ‘display’ the cars entries that we received and their owners to the broader car world via our club website and social media. We’ll do that by highlighting one car/owner just about every week for the balance of this year.

What can you tell us about your car? My Porsche is a 1997 911 993 Carrera 2 Coupe, the last of the air-cooled It’s exterior paint color is Forest Green Metallic (53) complemented by a cashmere beige partial leather interior, a G50 six- speed manual transmission, a power/heated seat package, a AM/FM radio with CD player, and retractable sunroof.
How do you feel when you drive it? Frankly, I love nothing more than to take my Porsche for a “run” on the outback, rural roads of South Carolina. Moving through my six- speed transmission, one feels in complete control of the 270 hp. engine behind you. It’s exhilarating !
Do you have any other cars in your collection? Growing up as the son of a General Motors Executive, I had the good fortune to own or use all of GM’s “muscle car” models as they evolved. As a result I also own a 1972 Oldsmobile 442 coupe, the last of the A bodies, powered by a 350 hp V8 “Rocket” engine.
What can you tell us about you? Personally, I’m a retired Financial Services Executive, having been associated with Ernst & Young LLP and Morgan Guaranty Trust Company (JPMorgan), who has relocated from New York City’s Metropolitan area to South Carolina’s Low Country. I served in the US Army (Armor Branch) during the Vietnam war, rising to the rank of Captain.
