Even though the Hilton Head Concours and Car Club Showcase have been postponed to 2021, we still want to ‘display’ the cars entries that we received and their owners to the broader car world via our club website and social media. We’ll do that by highlighting one car/owner just about every week for the balance of this year.

What can you tell us about your car? This car is an early example of the 993, the last generation of the air-cooled 911. I purchased if from Truitt Rabun a few years ago. He had done a great job of keeping it in like-new condition.
How do you feel when you drive it? Having previously owned a 1976 911 (and currently owning a 1966 911), it always amazes me that Porsche was able to keep the “feel” of the 911 the same for so many years. Great car to drive, always very engaging.
Do you have any other cars in your collection? The rest of the collection consists of the ‘66 911, a 1956 Speedster and a 1964 356 C cabriolet.
What can you tell us about you? I enjoy working on the cars, doing most of the mechanical and electrical work myself. I’ve worked on full restorations of three of our Porsches, including a 1951 356 coupe.
