Even though the Hilton Head Concours and Car Club Showcase have been postponed to 2021, we still want to ‘display’ the cars entries that we received and their owners to the broader car world via our club website and social media. We’ll do that by highlighting one car/owner just about every week for the balance of this year.

What can you tell us about your car? I bought this 1983 911SC from our great local Porsche chapter past President, David Grandt back in Jan 2017. It was modified by Bob Woodman in Beaufort SC for track use. No expense was spared by David on this fine 911. I was just fortunate enough to have David sell it to me and it’s been a delight driving it to DE’s and around HHI.
How do you feel when you drive it? I feel I’m one with this car. No power brakes, no power steering, no A/C or a blower for that matter and heel and toe shifting. It’s old school driving. I’ve had a 987 and a 981 Cayman, both were nice to drive but this 911 will test your abilities as a driver on the track and sometimes on the open road…when the police aren’t around.
What can you tell us about you? I’m just your regular Joe. Always loved Porsches from the first time I set my eyes on a 911 when I was a kid. Being from Canada, you didn’t see too many 911’s growing up. I was absolutely fascinated with the sound of that flat six.
